Why Chibagua?

Chibagua is a meeting of two essential Feng Shui ideas: chi and bagua.

Chi: movement and vitality

Chi, also written qi, describes the movement and quality of vital energy. In Feng Shui, attention is given to how chi enters, circulates, gathers, and disperses through landscapes, buildings, and rooms.

Bagua: a map of relationships

Bagua means eight areas or trigrams. It is a symbolic map for considering directions, life themes, natural forces, and the relationship between a person and a place.

The name as a promise

Chibagua combines these words to signal a balanced approach: first observe the flow of a place, then use the bagua and other traditional tools to understand it.
